Our residential provision is separated into Children’s Residential Care and Adult Residential Care. Children, young people and adults are then accommodated according to their independence skills and needs. Each flat has individual bedrooms which young people are encouraged to personalise and are issued with a key to keep their valuables safe. There are shared social, dining, sports and leisure areas.
Each flat offers various levels of independence and as young people gain skills, they can move into more independent areas. Even the most independent young people will have the support of the Residential Care Staff but at the level they need. Flats for young people who require higher levels of support have extra safety measures such as alarmed doors but this is not used as standard.
With the support of our experienced Residential Care team, our young people carry out an Independent Living Skills Programme which enables them to prepare to live independently in the future. The Residential Care team have good signing skills and all have achieved, or are working towards their BSL level 3 and a Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young people's Workforce.
